Learn style guide formats used in the arts, social sciences, sciences, law, history, and more that are needed at the university and college level.
Get exposed to good online research skills, and how to use online libraries, as well as physical libraries, and get the best out of research endeavors at the library. Tips on good self-editing and proofreading advice and practice will also be included in this course.
You will have ample practice at writing good essays and performing and conducting strong research skills for the areas that you want to study in school. This class will help your child not only write strong essays in a variety of formats such as research, expository, persuasive, college essays, and many others, this class will help your child to become prepared for the rigors of university and college and to be ahead of the game in terms of post-secondary education.
This is a superb class to prepare your children for postsecondary education, either college or university, and to receive the best grades past high school. With a maximum of 20 to 30 minutes of lecture time, the rest of the class will be structured in a format where there will loads of in-class interactivity, brainstorming, and mini-challenges!

Multiple award-winning author/teacher/journalist, and owner of Donna Magazine since October 1, 2007, Dr. Kakonge is here to lead a rewarding session for your groups and your kids!
After a long career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and government departments, working as a stenographer, online lawyer, and college teacher, she taught journalism at the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College. She taught The Broadcasting Industry and Online Marketing at TREBAS Institute, as well as Skills for College English at George Brown College. Other teaching experiences include the day programs in Seneca College's and Centennial College's journalism programs with combined university degrees through York University and the University of Toronto Scarborough campuses respectively.
Donna worked as a Teacher Education Program Assistant/Academic Advisor at OISE | the University of Toronto. And has been working with OUTSCHOOL for the last two years.
Fun Fact: Dr. Kakonge also produced and performed eight musical albums and one musical single that are widely distributed.
